Cygnet Theatre is delighted to announce the scheduled Wednesday dates of our OUT NIGHT @ CYGNET Series. Established to welcome and thank our LGBT audience members, Cygnet's 2010/2011 Season includes one night per production with a free pre-show mixer including cocktails, appetizers and enter-to-wins. Everyone is welcome to attend, with a distinct focus on the LGBT Community. Remaining OUT NIGHT dates include October 20th (Living Together), December 15th (It's a Wonderful Life), February 16th (The Tragedy of The Commons), April 27th (Cabaret) and July 6th (Our Town). The FREE pre-show mixer begins at 6:30pm and the performance begins at 7:30pm.
Cygnet Theatre was founded by Artistic Director Sean Murray and Executive Director Bill Schmidt. The theatre opened its doors in 2003 with a defiant and proud Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Partners for over 15 years and legally married in 2008, Murray and Schmidt are active members of the LGBT community. The mission of Cygnet Theatre is to "startle the soul, ignite debate and embrace the diversity of the community it serves." Cygnet Theatre is an active member of the GSDBA Chamber of Commerce and will be hosting a special event to support the group during the Spring 2011 run of Cabaret.
Cygnet's OUT NIGHT series is unique to other theatre Out Nights in that the pre-show mixer is offered FREE to attendees with purchase of a performance ticket. Cygnet's OUT NIGHTS are sponsored in part by The Rage Monthly Magazine.
