Inland Valley Repertory Theater company (IVRT) is pleased to announce the casting of Cassandra Marie Murphy as Francesca in the Southern California Premier of Jason Robert Brown's Musical THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY for a very limited run on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 25 and 26 at the Candlelight Pavilion in Claremont.
IVRT is proud to welcome Cassandra Marie Murphy to our stage at the Candlelight Pavilion. IVRT audiences may remember her in THE LAST FIVE YEARS for IVRT at Covina Playhouse in 2013. Murphy has received accolades from the LA stage community for her roles as Esmeralda in HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME at 5 Star Theatricals, Isabel in A Noise Within's HENRY V, Aldonza/Dulcinea in A Noise Within's MAN OF LA MANCHA, Eva Peron in EVITA at Cabrillo Music Theatre; Fantine in LES MISERABLES with Musical Theatre West and McCoy Rigby Entertainment. She also starred as Jasmine from 2006 to 2016 in Disney's ALADDIN at the Hyperion Theater at Disney's California Adventure Park. Her television work includes Unusual Suspects, The Voice Finale, and Toddrik (for MTV).
Based on the novel and award-winning movie, the musical THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY was adapted for the stage by Jason Robert Brown. IVRT's production is directed by Frank Minano, assisted by Hope Kaufman. Music director Ronda Rubio will conduct the eight- piece orchestra onstage. THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY runs for 3 performances only, on Tuesday, September 25 at 7:30pm, and on Wednesday, September 26 at 2:30pm and 7:30pm Tickets are $37. Also featured as Robert is Caleb Shaw, with Jaidyn Young, Andrew Wade, Kim Eberhardt and Christopher Lindsey.
