The incredibly talented Irish and Scottish group, Celtic Thunder will bring their "Take Me Home Fall 2009 Tour," to the Balboa Theatre in San Diego on Saturday, November 7. Tickets go on sale Monday, September 28th at 10:00 AM.
Two months after Celtic Thunder's CD Take Me Home debuted at #1 on Billboard's (US) Top World Album chart, the group hailed by the New York Times as "a Fab Five peddling Celtic styling's," performed throughout the day at QVC's "Rose of Tralee" Irish celebration and as a result sold a record breaking 10,000 copies of a special collection, Celtic Thunder: Act Two CD and The Show DVD, both of which were released on Decca Records in 2008. The phenomenon that is Celtic Thunder has achieved sales approaching 500,000 copies of their combined releases to date, and remain in the Top 10 of Billboard's Top World Albums a year after their #1 debut.
This October the group will stage a brand new production for Public Television entitled Celtic Thunder "Storm" at the International Center in Toronto. The DVD from this show is scheduled for broadcast on the Public Television network in March 2010, alongside a new CD release of "Storm."
