As we move toward the middle of April, I trust you will want to attend at least a couple of productions at one or more of the various live performance and theatre venues that are here on the Central Coast of California for your entertainment pleasure!

Exit Pursued By a Bear’s The Changeling, by Thomas Middleton and William Rowley, directed by Gregory Gorrindo, will be presented April 13-21 at The Spot (https://www.facebook.com/#!/hit.the.spot) in Arroyo Grande.

Considered among the best tragedies of the English Renaissance, The Changeling is a tale of insanity, sex, deception, murder, blackmail, suspense, lunacy, and foolishness that even now continues to thrill audiences.

Beatrice wants to marry Alsemero, but is betrothed to another man, Alonzo.  In order to free herself of her ties to her intended husband, she conspires with her servant, Deflorez, to have him murder Alonzo and then flee the country.  But once the deed is done Deflorez has other ideas about where he'll go and what they'll do.

Meanwhile, a doctor's wife, Isabella, is pursued by two of her husband's patients, the fool Antonio, and the madman Franciscus.  Once her husband's assistant, Lollio, joins in with the wooers, it becomes clear to Isabella that these men aren't at all what they seem.

Don't miss out on this all too rare opportunity to see this electrifying play by two of the best Jacobean playwrights, performed by a cast of experienced, local Shakespearian actors.  It will be a night of theatre the likes of which you're not likely to see on the Central Coastin a long time.

Starring - Dustin Cobb, Gregory Gorrindo, Charles Hayek, Krystal Kirk, Bob Knowles, Michelle Kohler, Tyler Lopez, Kristie Siebert, and Graham Smith.
