Armstrong and Allen, who headlined at MA4 to sold-out audiences during Pride Week 2014, are back to share their rare talent to captivate, amuse and enchant audiences with their one-of-a-kind wit and musical prowess. In addition to Amy & Freddy, the evening's entertainment will include the musical stylings of Andy Anderson and Nathan Fry, two of San Diego's favorite local performers.
The celebration, which starts at 7:30 PM, features at 5-course dinner prepared by Chef Sergio Barrios, all entertainment, a midnight champagne toast, tax and gratuity. Tickets for the Countdown to 2015 are $125.00 and can be purchased online at www.ma4sd.com.
Quite possibly, Amy & Freddy can lay claim to one of the longest running gigs in show biz, as headliners for 15 consecutive years on one of the world's highest profile cruise line companies, RSVP Vacations. AMY ARMSTRONG is the unforgettable sassy, brassy, saucy, plus-sized chanteuse who belts, bowdlerizes, boogies, and bares her soul at the microphone. FREDDY ALLEN, Pianist and Music Director, sometimes joins her in song as the patience-of-a-saint, ivory-tickling sidekick. This season marks Amy & Freddy's 15th anniversary of performing together! Based in Chicago, music and comedy legends Amy Armstrong and Freddy Allen have graced the stages coast-to-coast, both large and small, and in over 20 countries. They have had the pleasure of opening and sharing the spotlight with some familiar (and some not so familiar) names including Kathy Griffin, Mary Wilson and the Supremes, Phyllis Diller, Bea Arthur, Jennifer Holiday and Judy Gold to name a few. In 2009, Amy & Freddy were featured on national television on Entertainment Tonight as part of their work with the NBC reality show "America's Got Talent." They remain dedicated to their community involvement having presented numerous charity concerts over the years, raising over $15 million for LGTB charities worldwide.Videos
