Pam Tillis - Growing up in Nashville can be quite an experience, especially when your father is the legendary country singer Mel Tillis. She was playing guitar and piano by the age of 12 and seemed destined to follow in her father’s footsteps. In 1979 she released her first album ‘Above and Beyond the Doll of Cutey,’ which showcased her pop and rock sounds. In 1989 she was the first female act signed to the newly formed Arista Nashville label and released several hit singles including ‘Don’t Tell Me What To Do,’ ‘Maybe It Was Memphis,’ ‘Shake the Sugar Tree’ and ‘Mi Vida Loca (My Crazy Life).
