Get out your glow sticks and playing cards as The Rocky Horror Show gets a RuPaul's Drag Race facelift at San Antonio's historic Woodlawn Theatre. The iconic comedy rock musical, which opens October 16, stars Bianca Del Rio as Magenta, Adore Delano as Dr. Frank-N-Furter and Michelle Visage as Riff Raff.

The highlight of this classic production is audience participation. Callbacks are allowed and encouraged. Prop bags will be sold at the theatre for $5, but no homemade props can come into the theatre for safety issues. Dig out your fishnet stockings and stiletto heels for the show - costumes make everything twice as much fun. There will be a costume contest on October 31. The winner will receive a Meet & Greet with the Rupaul's Drag stars. Patrons under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to be allowed in the show - mature language and sexual content abounds.

"An institution among hundreds of cult fans, these characters are forever embedded in our hearts," says the theatre's artistic director Greg Hinojosa, "but we are going to take you to an entirely new dimension of science fiction in this staging. Think of it as Rocky Horror, the Freak Circus Side Show."

Irreverent and anti-establishment, The Rocky Horror Show, which has travelled the world since making its humble debut at the Royal Court Theatre in London in 1973. The show follows the weird and wonderful adventure of the newly engaged Janet (Carla Sankey) and Brad (Kurt Wehner), who find themselves lost on a cold, rainy night. The madcap, musical mayhem begins when the couple takes refuge in the castle of Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Adore Delano), a transvestite who is hosting the annual convention of visitors from the planet, Transsexual.

A Rocky Horror virgin? No problem: instructions are detailed online at woodlawntheatre.org/audience-participation/.
