The Who's Tommy opened at The Playhouse - San Antonio last weekend, and BroadwayWorld is pleased to share these stellar photos from the rocking production.
Tommy is an electrifying 1960s rock opera, told through the legendary music of The Who. It chronicles one child's "Amazing Journey" from boy to man and misfortune to fame.
The Who's Tommy features a book by Pete Townshend and Des McAnuff, music and lyrics by Pete Townshend, and additional music and lyrics by John Entwistle and Keith Moon.
The Playhouse's production of The Who's Tommy is directed by Rick Sanchez with choreography by Lizel Sandoval, music direction by Andrew Hendley, scenic design by Alfy Valdez, costume design by Jenifer Andrews, lighting and sound design by Pat Smith, and media design by Fernando Del Bosque.
The production stars Isidro Medina as Adult Tommy, Daniel Quintero as Ten Year Old Tommy, Evan Soulksamlane as Four-Year-Old Tommy, Sara Brookes as Mrs. Walker, Jason L. Mosher as Captain Walker, Omar A. Leos as Uncle Ernie, Rob Shaver as The Lover/The Hawker, James R. Welch as Cousin Kevin, Rebecca Trinidad as The Acid Queen, and Sarah Hedrick as Sally Simpson.
