The Classic Theatre presents The House on Mango Street, adapted from Sandra Cisneros' book by Amy Ludwig, running September 2 - September 25, 2016. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!
Sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes deeply joyous, The House on Mango Street tells the story of Esperanza Cordero, whose neighborhood is one of harsh realities and harsh beauty. Esperanza doesn't want to belong -- not to her rundown neighborhood, and not to the low expectations the world has to offer her. Esperanza's story is that of a young Latina coming into her power, and inventing for herself what she will become.
Performances play Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Shows are held at the The Classic Theatre located at 1924 Fredericksburg Rd. The theatre has handicap accessibility. Tickets are available online now at www.classictheatre.org. If you have any more questions feel free to contact The Classic Theatre Box Office at (210) 589-8450.
