Classic Theatre to Present THE TAMING OF THE SHREW, 11/8-24

Two sisters that could not be more different: sweet, modest Bianca, and outspoken, rude Katarina. Bianca cannot marry until her older sister does, so her suitors hatch a plan to set Kate up with the rip-roarious and crass Petruchio who takes it as a challenge to tame and wed this shrewish woman, the prize being her dowry. Meanwhile Bianca deals with her own over-eager suitors and falls in love with Lucentio, a tutor in disguise. Shakespeare weaves a tale full of witty banter, mixed up identities, and couples in love and in loathing. The Taming of the Shrew is one of the most popular of all Shakespeare's comedies and the source for the popular musical Kiss Me Kate.

SHOW DATES: November 8th-24th, November 14th & 21th are student performances and are not open to the general public.

SHOW TIMES: Performances are Friday & Saturday at 8:00 PM and Sunday at 3:00 PM. Student performances begin at 7:00 PM.

LOCATION: All Performances are at the Sterling Houston Theatre at Jump-Start, 108 Blue Star in the Blue Star Arts Complex, 1400 S. Alamo. The theatre is handicap accessible...please call 210-589-8450 for special arrangements.
