Mini Blog: Morgan Clyde as Fiona

The View From Fiona's Tower: Entry 2

Today was officially my favorite day. In addition to working with the Dragon for the first time and getting some seriously moving scene work done, we also added another vital piece to the show: the gas.

Let me tell you, if you've never sung a number with very specifically timed burp and fart sounds in the music, you haven't lived.

Stay tuned!!

The View From Fiona's Tower: Entry 3

Officially one week until Opening!

I've been saying all along that this is one of my favorite casts to work with, and that has been proven time and time again. Everyone is so insanely talented, and the fun levels have been through the roof. Every day is a treat, as I have so rarely felt more comfortable, more playful, or more in tune with actors as I do with my Shrek and Donkey.

And that's to say nothing of our production team. Mark, Alonzo, Darrin, Krystal, and the entire crew have been so supportive and creative through the entire process. I could not be luckier.

See you all in a week! Until then, keep following our shenanigans here!

Morgan is no stranger to the Woodlawn, having spent time both on the stage in "Rock of Ages" and "Sweeney Todd", and as fight master for shows such as "West Side Story", "Peter Pan", and "Pippin". She is not only an avid performer and fight choreographer; she is also a director, a designer, and a playwright. Notable performances include Justice in "Rock of Ages", Audrey II in "Little Shop of Horrors" (Vexler Theatre), and her award-winning Kate in "Taming of the Shrew" (Classic Theatre).

Shrek, The Musical plays at the Woodlawn Theatre in San Antonio, Texas from June 30-July 30, 2017. Purchase tickets at the Woodlawn Theatre's Website. It's going to be a fun family show for everyone!
