2015-2016 marks the 10th season of acclaimed theatre company AtticRep, and its second in residence at the Tobin Center of Performing Arts. The 10th Anniversary Season presents four dynamic productions which achieve a compelling and diverse exploration of childhood, forgiveness, the loss of innocence, and growing up female. In addition to infusing the season's three adapted plays, these themes culminate in one completely-original work, furthering the much-heralded company's mission to challenge the creative imagination of the San Antonio community.
The 10th Anniversary season opens at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts on November 11, 2015 with the second AtticRep International Festival of Performance of San Antonio. As part of a new initiative, AtticRep presents "Pinocchio" by the lauded Teatro del Drago of Ravenna, Italy. By presenting this extraordinary work of theatre, AtticRep takes a step further into international collaboration, following AtticRep's residency in India in 2014 with CREA-Shakti, and the upcoming collaborations in Italy with Teatro Potlach and Teatro Del Drago in Summer 2015.
In addition to "Pinocchio," AtticRep will produce "The Amish Project" and "Secrets of a Soccer Mom," a contrasting duo of plays which bring forth a complex spectrum of the American female experience. Rounding out the season is the world premiere of "14," an original work about a teenage girl growing up in a post-9/11 world. "14" incorporates aerial and contemporary dance, and is being developed in collaboration with Aerial Horizons and the choreographer Seme Jatib.
Of this compelling and diverse roster, Producing Artistic Director Roberto Prestigiacomo says, "With the 10th Anniversary season, we continue to produce theatre for social change by focusing on growing up female in post-9/11 America; the challenges women face in a constantly shifting family structure, the ability to forgive, and the loss of innocence. Artistically, AtticRep embraces dynamism in performance by integrating music, dance, puppetry, shadow theatre, and aerial work into these productions. This dynamic and fantastical 2015-2016 season will entertain, provoke dialogue, and make our audiences marvel at the creative potential of theatre."

Today, brothers Mauro and Andrea represent the fifth generation in this unbroken family tradition.
