31st Annual Tejano Music Awards Announce New Look, New Stage

Thousands of fans will travel to the "Tejano Capital of the World" San Antonio to attend the largest Tejano event in Texas at the newly remodeled Market Square. The three-day TMA Fan Fair is set for Friday, March 18 through Sunday, March 20, 2011 offering non-stop live Tejano Music on six stages with over 120 bands traveling from across the country.

Tejano Music Awards Fan Fair draws 85,000 fans who will make their way through Market Square enjoying the sounds of top acts such as Raulito Navaira, Albert Zamora, Jimmy Gonzalez y Mazz, Jay Perez, Shelly Lares, Eddie Gonzalez, Fama, David Olivares, Sunny Sauceda, Stefani Montiel, Gary Hobbs and Jaime y Los Chamacos. Rising stars like Veronica y Avance, Sonidos del Barrio, Juaquin Cura, Natajja, Jorge Moreno, Los Matadors, Monica Castro and Ilyssa Saenz will also be showcased .TMA is honored to have many out of state bands representing their home states of New Mexico, Arizona, Idaho, California Colorado and Michigan. A special appearance by Veronica Flores, finalist for La Doble De Selena and TengoTalento Mucho Talento.

A special dedication of the Selena commemorative stamp, part of the Latin Music Legends Series will be unveiled at Tejano Music Awards Fan Fair Friday, March 18, 2011 during the opening ceremonies beginning at noon.

In addition to live entertainment TMA Fan Fair offers food and beverage booths as well as shopping in the Mercado area; and the opportunity to meet and greet your favorite Tejano artist during the three-day autograph sessions featuring former Tejano Music Awards and Latin Grammy winners Elida Reyna, Michael Salgado, and "El Gato Negro" Ruben Ramos and SIGGNO and Dinora to name a few.

KICK-OFF CEREMONY ON FRIDAY, MARCH 18: Members of the working media are invited to a ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon in Market Square during which Councilwoman Mary Alice Cisneros will present a proclamation from the City of San Antonio and the unveiling of Selena Commemorative stamp. TTMA officials and Tejano artists Elida Reyna, Raulito Navaira,Ilyssa Saenz, Dinora and La Calma , Shelly Lares will be available for interviews.

Texas Talent Musicians Association (TTMA) is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote professional excellence; a better understanding and greater appreciation for Tejano music; and to provide a public forum for songwriters, performs and musicians in order to recognize their artistic efforts and achievements through the annual Tejano Music Awards and related events. TTMA is based in San Antonio, Texas.
