Kimberly Akimbo follows 16-year-old Kimberly as she navigates life in a new suburban New Jersey town while dealing with family dysfunction and a rare genetic condition. The musical, which has won five Tony Awards including Best Musical, combines humor with heartfelt moments as Kimberly searches for happiness amidst her challenges. Featuring a book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire and music by Jeanine Tesori, the production is directed by Jessica Stone and choreographed by Danny Mefford. Critics have lauded it as both profoundly funny and deeply moving, establishing it as a standout in contemporary musical theater.
