Ballet West presents a new adaptation of the classic tale of Jekyll & Hyde, opening from October 25 to November 2 at the Janet Quinney Lawson Capitol Theatre. Choreographed by Val Caniparoli, this psychological thriller delves into the complexities of the human psyche through the duality of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, portrayed by two different dancers. The production combines powerful music performed by the Ballet West Orchestra with intense storytelling, aiming to visualize Jekyll's transformation and inner turmoil. Artistic Director Adam Sklute emphasizes the theatrical challenges presented to the company, making this a distinctive blend of ballet and theater for mature audiences.
