William Shakespeares classic is presented by the incredible Grassroots Shakespeare Company, who create joyous, vibrant productions inspired by Shakespeares original staging techniques. The collaborative touring ensemble presents the Bards works as intimate shows where the audience is encouraged to participate in the story and the actors react and respond, making the play an immersive and accessible theatrical experience while staying true to Shakespeares beautiful language and witty story.TWELFTH NIGHT: As what would now be described as a romantic comedy, Twelfth Night tells the tale of Viola, who has been shipwrecked in a violent storm off the coast of Illyria; in the process she has lost her twin brother, Sebastian. She disguises herself as a boy and assumes the name Cesario for protection. Thus disguised, Viola becomes a page in the service of Orsino, the Duke, who is pining for Lady Olivia. The complicated love triangle is complete: the disguised Viola loves Orsino, Orsino loves Olivia, and Olivia loves Cesarioand misunderstanding and chaos ensues.
