Generation A to Host 1st Annual Battle of the Improvs at the Grand Theater, Sept. 18

September 18th, Generation A, along with the Grand Theater, brings together some of Utah's improv comedians on one stage for the 1st annual Battle of the Improvs at the Grand Theater in Salt Lake City. The event challenges these comedians to duke it out for the title of Utah's funniest, to be decided by the audience. Each troupe will compete with other troupes in both qualifying and elimination rounds, guaranteeing ample opportunity to see each troupe in action.
All proceeds for the show will go towards the Utah Local Festival of Arts to be held in Salt Lake City on Oct 9th. Attendance not only supports Utah's improv artists, but benefits the rapidly growing artistic community in Utah as a whole. 2010 Partcipating Troupes (as of 7/17/10):* Absoludicrous

The Battle of the Improvs begins at 7:30pm, with doors opening at 7:00pm, at the Grand Theater, located at 1575 South State Street, Salt Lake City, UT. Tickets can be purchased at for $8 pre-sale, and will also be available at the door for $10. Tickets at the door, as well as concessions, can be purchased with cash only.
