The Ziegfeld Theater to Present YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN

"It's Alive!" Continuing a successful season of large-scale Broadway musicals, The Ziegfeld Theater is pleased to bring the cult film-turned musical, Young Frankenstein, to its stage.

The electrifying adaptation of Mel Brooks' monstrously funny film was a massive hit on Broadway and will leave Utah audiences in stitches.

Grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Frederick "Fronkensteen" is surprised to learn he has inherited his family's estate in Transylvania. With the help of a hunchbacked side-kick, Igor, and a leggy lab assistant, Inga, Frederick, a normally serious medical expert, finds himself thrust into the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors. Full of hilarious lyrics and a tap-dancing monster, Young Frankenstein is every bit as relevant to audience members who will remember the original as it will be to newcomers. With all the panache of the screen sensation and added extra theatrical flair, Young Frankenstein is scientifically-proven, monstrously good fun.

Young Frankenstein is directed by Caleb Parry, music directed by Daniel Pack and Bonnie Romney, and choreographed by Talese Hunt.

The Ziegfeld Theater continues its third season in 2015 with another popular musical, after performing Fiddler on the Roof, LES MISERABLES, West Side Story and Hairspray to near sell-out crowds. Under the executive leadership of Caleb and Morgan Parry and the artistic leadership of Rick Rea, the theater pursues a mission of "Professional Standard, Community Spirit" as it strives to bring quality entertainment to diverse audiences in Northern Utah.

The opening gala and performance is Friday, October 16 at 7:30 p.m. Regular performances are 7:30 p.m. every Friday and Saturday, with two 2:00 p.m. matinees on Saturdays November 7 and 14.
