The Utah Symphony's free summer concert series returns with three outdoor concerts in Salt Lake County conducted by Associate Conductor Vladimir Kulenovic.
The first two concerts, both featuring patriotic music along with selections from musical theatre and other light classics, will take place on June 27, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. at Valley Regional Park (5100 S. 2700 W., Taylorsville, Utah) and July 22, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. at Draper Amphitheater (944 E. Vestry Road, Draper, Utah).
A third concert will be held on August 14, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. at the Gallivan Center (239 S. Main Street, Salt Lake City, Utah) and will feature music selections ranging from Beethoven to Bernstein.
The Utah Symphony performs free concerts each summer throughout Salt Lake County inspire the community with great live music and thank residents for their support through Salt Lake County's Zoo, Arts and Parks Program and Salt Lake City's Redevelopment Agency.
Repertoire
Utah Symphony Associate Conductor Vladimir Kulenovic will conduct all three performances in an array of favorite patriotic tunes, including and John Phillip Souza's "Manhattan Beach March" and "King Cotton March," as well as selections from classic, American musicals including Leonard Bernstein's Overture to "West Side Story" and selections from Meredith Willson's "The Music Man."
