RDT Celebrates Diversity With The 21st Season Of Ring Around The Rose

Repertory Dance Theatre is proud to present the 21st season of RDT's Ring Around the Rose, a performance series for children and families at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center.

Each month from September through May, RDT presents a different performing arts group with a "wiggle-friendly" performance. Audience members are invited to participate and each show is very interactive. RDT hopes to introduce young audiences to the performing arts in a fun and approachable way.

This upcoming season will correlate with Repertory Dance Theatre's season-long initiative: MANIFEST DIVERSITY. During its 2018-2019 season, RDT will celebrate the enriching contributions from different cultures and peoples that have made modern dance a rich tapestry of the American experience.

The Ring Around the Rose season will underscore the cultural threads from many lands that have been braided into the art forms of modern dance and theater over the past 100+ years.

Dance staples like Tanner Dance and RDT will perform as always, but the season as a whole has a focus on ethnic and cultural performers. Returning favorites like WOFA Afro Fusion (African Drums) and Samba Fogo will be joined by newcomers like Bollypop with dancers from India, and Malialole with performers from the Pacific Islands.

Tickets for a single show are just $5. Audience members can save 30% by purchasing tickets to at least 6 shows on the season with the Ring Around the Rose Flex Package.

About RDT's Ring Around the Rose

Ring Around The Rose is a wiggle friendly series of performances for children and families that explores the magical world of the arts including dance, theatre, music and storytelling. All shows begin at 11:00am at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center, 138 W Broadway, SLC. Shows are $5 (kids 2 and under are free).
