Auditions for the first show in Pioneer Theatre Company's 2009- 2010 Season, A Chorus Line, will be held on Friday, May 8th, 2009. Auditions will take the form of two dance calls, one at 1:00 p.m. and one at 3:00 p.m. There will be 24 slots in each session; AEA and non-AEA actors may sign up for either call. Callbacks will be the morning of Saturday, May 9, 2009; the time will be announced.

Non-AEA auditioners must come in to sign up on the callboard in Room 325 at the Roy W. and Elizabeth E. Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre. AEA members may call ElizaBeth Williamson at 801-585-5855 to sign up. The sign-up sheet will be posted by noon on Friday, May 1, 2009. Auditions will be held in Room 245 at the Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre.

The first audition will be a dance call, but auditioners should also prepare a song from the show or a song in a similar style. After the dance call, some auditioners may be asked to stay and sing. If called back, auditioners will be asked to read from the script, sing, and dance again. A photo and resume are recommended. Scripts and sides will be available and may be checked out on an overnight basis from the theatre offices located in Room 325 at Simmons PMT as early as Friday, May 1, 2009.
