Due to popular demand, Pioneer Theatre Company has added an extra matinee performance of LES MISERABLES on Wednesday, May 29, 2013. The performance takes place at2:00 p.m. Tickets for the extra performance go on sale Monday, May 13, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. via the internet at www.pioneertheatre.org and via the Box Office in person or at 801-581-6961. Tickets for all other performances may also still be purchased. Half-priced tickets for children in grades K-12 are available for the May 29 matinee performance, and for all of the remaining Monday and Tuesday evening performances.
The success of the current production of this perennial Utah favorite can be attributed in part to the cast assembled. LES MISERABLES features Joe Cassidy in his PTC debut as Jean Valjean, Josh Davis as Inspector Javert, Kelly McCormick as Fantine, Melissa Mitchell as Cosette, Manna Nichols as Eponine, Dale Hensley and Christianne Tisdale as Monsieur and Madame Thénardier,Perry Sherman as Marius and Kevin Vortmann as Enjolras. Local actors Maggie Scott and Zoe Heiden play Young Cosette, Brigham Inkley and Zachary Brown play Gavroche, and Abigail Scott plays Young Eponine.
Pioneer Theatre Company, Utah's premier professional theatre, performs at the Roy W. and Elizabeth E. Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre, located on the University of Utah campus at 300 South and 1400 East, Salt Lake City UT 84112-0660.
