Photos: New Musical TOO MANY VOICES Sets Second Staged Reading at Harrington Center
Noah Hurley steps into the lead role of Alex, joining cast members Rebekah Thorn and Natalie Makin
Following an emotionally charged and well excepted first public staged reading, the new contemporary musical Too Many Voices will hold a second reading set for May 2nd, as a part of the Harrington Center's New Works Festival.
Written by Tyler Thompson, Too Many Voices is a poignant exploration of the internal lives of those who mask their mental health struggles. The piece resonated deeply with its initial audience, garnering an exciting reaction for its raw portrayal of the silent battles many face in the modern world. Described by the creator as living in the same space as Next To Normal, Dear Evan Hansen, and The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
The first reading featured writer/composer Tyler Thompson in the leading role of Alex, supported by Rebekah Thorn as Jenna, Natalie Makin as Lily, Alex's younger sister, and Isabel Ownby provided the stage directions for the presentation.
For the upcoming May 2nd concert reading, the production will see a shift in the leading role, with Noah Hurley stepping into the role of Alex to join the rest of the cast.
