Hale Centre Theatre (HCT), Utah's premiere family theatre, is one of the first community theatres in the country to present the Broadway classic Les Miserables, which runs Feb. 14 through April 19. The theatre's center stage will provide a uniquely intimate telling of the poignant story. Check out just-released promotional photos below!

Les Miserables is the story of Jean Valjean, a French peasant in 19th-century France, and his quest for redemption following 19 years in jail for stealing a loaf of bread. Valjean breaks parole and starts his life anew, becomes a pillar of society and adopts Cosette, the daughter of a former employee. As the French Revolution foments, Cosette falls in love with a passionate revolutionary while police inspector Javert, who has been on the hunt for Valjean over several years, begins to close in on Valjean's secret past.

HCT's Les Miserables is directed and choreographed by Tinney and features Casey Elliott and Kyle Olsen as Jean Valjean; Preston Yates and Adam Dietlein as Javert; Megan Heaps and Erin Royall Carlson as Fantine; Stephen Kerr and Josh Richardson as Thenardier; Camille Van Wagoner and Emily Bell as Madame Thenardier; Bradley Lever and Derek Smith as Enjolras; Timothy Aaron Cooper and Brad Robins as Marius; Jessica Sundwall and Rachel Woodward as Cosette; and Anna Daines Rennaker and Madeline Weinberger as Eponine. Musical direction is by Kelly DeHaan, with set design by Kacey Udy, sound design by Dan Morgan and lighting by Brian Healy. Costumes have been co-designed by Suzanne Carling and Peggy Willis.

Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, Feb. 14 to April 19, with Saturday matinees at 12:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. and several weekday matinees at 4 p.m. Admission is $32 for adults and $16 for children ages 5 to 11. Tickets may be purchased online at www.hct.org, via telephone at 801-984-9000, or at the Hale Centre Theatre box office, 3333 South Decker Lake Drive, West Valley City.
