OPPA! in Layton, Utah opens its doors with its very first community theatre production, Nunsense! Nunsense is truly HABIT forming at OPPA! where they bring to life a show about 5 nuns doing anything they can to raise the money to bury their dead nun sisters! The show is full of amazing talent, brilliant choreography, and fun for the whole family! Scroll down for a first look at the cast in action!

Nunsense is a hilarious spoof about the misadventures of five nuns trying to manage a fundraiser. Sadly, the rest of the sisterhood died from botulism after eating vichyssoise prepared by Sister Julia. Thus, the remaining nuns - ballet-loving Sister Leo (Seante Nielson), street-wise Sister Robert Anne (Jessica DeBoer, Becky Evans), befuddled Sister Mary Amnesia (Amanda Larsen), the Mother Superior Sister Regina (Carolyn Stevens), and mistress of the novices Sister Mary Hubert (Charlene Adams)- stage a talent show in order to raise the money to bury their dearly departed.

Nunsense is the second-longest running off-Broadway production and its popularity has lead to two films, a TV series, six sequels and three spinoffs. "It's habit-forming!"

Nunsense is directed by Brandon Stauffer with musical direction by Cariel Goodwin. "This show brings together so much talent on and off the stage, we are so excited to open our theatre with this HYSTERICAL, zany musical! The jokes are perfect, the cast is amazing, and the show is perfect for our community," said Brandon Stauffer.

OPPA! exists to educate, entertain, and inspire children, adults and audiences with theatrical productions that range from musicals, plays, and new works; we train and support the next generation of theatre artists; we provide arts education programs that promote life-long learning; and we celebrate the power of theatre to bring together our community.
