Park City Institute presents singer, and winner of NBC's The Voice, Chris Blue, with music influenced by R&B, funk, soul and pop, Monday July 23, at the Quinn's Junction Sports Complex Fields, Gillmor Way, in Park City.

"Chris Blue is a born performer," said Teri Orr, PCI's Executive Director. "His show is as much about taking the audience on a ride, as it is about his powerful, soulful voice. We're looking forward to having him on our stage."

Blue, began performing at age three, around his hometown of Knoxville. He captured national attention when he appeared on The Voice, and was mentored by Alicia Keys. Every week brought forth new aspects of his talent, and his love of performing. His stunning rendition of R.E.M.'s "Everybody Hurts" alongside Usher Raymond, in a heartfelt tribute to the victims of the Manchester, U.K. bombing at an Ariana Grande concert, made it clear he leads with his heart-and soul.

He recalls advice his mentor offered before one performance: "Alicia looked at me and said, 'Make sure you focus on being in the moment. Don't try to do anything; be it. That's the natural order. We're human 'beings' not 'do-ings'.' That stuck with me ever since. Now, when I get out there, I lose myself in that moment."

Following his victory, Blue inked a deal with Republic Records and immediately entered the studio to commence work on what would become his forthcoming full-length debut for the label. Drawing on influences as diverse as Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Shania Twain, Chris Brown, The Canton Spirituals, and Bishop T.D. Jakes, he artfully unites Motown, pop, and soul into a sound of his own.

The Washington Post praised his "stunning voice and charisma," and he's been hailed by KnoxNews for his "dancing prowess," and "explosive performance style."
