Pioneer Theatre Company's Loge Gallery is pleased to present an exhibit of drawings by editorial cartoonist Pat Bagley, a Utah artist who has gained national recognition for his apt and biting political and sartorial cartoons.
Pat Bagley, 62, is the longest continuously employed full-time political cartoonist in America. He started at The Salt Lake Tribune in 1979 after graduating from BYU, where he studied political science and history. In his four decades drawing, Bagley has created more than 10,000 cartoons and has won several prestigious awards, including the 2009 Herblock Prize, the 2017 Grambs Aronson "Cartooning with a Conscience" award, and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in 2014. He is syndicated with politicalcartoons.com where his work goes out to 800 publications worldwide.
