Pioneer Theatre Company and Zions Bank are teaming up to help those in need this holiday season.
"In the spirit of the holiday season, we are asking our ticket holders to bring a new pair of gloves, mittens or socks and drop them off in the theatre lobby during our presentation of Peter and the Starcatcher," said Chris Lino, managing director for Pioneer Theatre Company. This holiday drive will continue a tradition begun by the theatre at the holidays for the past three years.
From Friday, Dec. 5th to Saturday, Dec. 20th, the theatre will collect donations in the lobby. Volunteers from the theatre and from Peter and the Starcatcher's principal sponsor, Zions Bank, will deliver the items to the families and individuals served by The Road Home, the YWCA and the Utah chapter of Volunteers of America.
Pioneer Theatre Company presents Peter and the Starcatcher, which is a prequel to the timeless story of Peter Pan, Friday, December 5 through Saturday, December 20, 2014. No ticket is required to make a donation in the theatre's lobby.
