Master Djembe drummer Zinse Agginie brings his African rhythms to Utah with a public drum circle on October 1, 2009. Save the date and bring your drum to join Zinse and other drum aficionados for a gathering of unified beats.

Thursday, Oct 1, 2009

Educational Workshops: Noon - 5 p.m. (Reservations required. Call 801-965-5101)
Public Drum Circle: 7 - 9 p.m.

Utah Cultural Celebration Center
1355 West 3100 South
West Valley City, Utah 84119

Everyone is invited to participate in the public drum circle free of charge

A resident of Little Rock, Arkansas, Zinse has been playing the African Djembe drum for most of his life. He is currently visiting Utah as an Artist-in-Residence with the Utah Arts Council. Though his schedule this month is quite full with educational programs, he has made time to join us once again at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center. Educational workshops will be offered for student and afterschool groups throughout the afternoon, followed by the public drum circle from 7 - 9 p.m. Bring the kids and join the circle!
