When you combine the likes of Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Johnny Cash into one recording session, you never know what you're going to get, but you know its going to be spectacular.
Much like when you combine the talents of a cast that includes Gabe Aronson*, Daniel Bailey*, John Gardiner*, Benjamin D. Hale*, Kavan Hashemian*, Kyli Rae*, David Sonneborn* and Colin Summers*.
Based on an impromptu recording of a jam session in 1956 featuring four well-known musicians, "Million Dollar Quartet" continues through Aug. 11 inside the recently remodeled, and wonderfully air-conditioned Hafen Theatre at Tuacahn.
"It's been a huge success anywhere it's played," says Kevin Smith, Tuacahn CEO. "It's a smaller show, but when you get those kinds of characters into one show, just think of the music!"
Directed by Keith Andrews, "Million Dollar Quartet" features popular hits including "Blue Suede Shoes," "Walk the Line," "Hound Dog," "Great Balls of Fire," "Sixteen Tons" and more.
"This is really something the adults in the community can get excited about," Smith says.
"Million Dollar Quartet" runs through Aug. 11. Tickets start at $29. For details on any of this season's shows log onto www.tuacahn.org or call 435-652-3300.
