Tony and Emmy award-winning Kristin Chenoweth (GleePushing DaisiesWicked) will light up The Eccles Center in Park City with an unforgettable New Year's Eve show. This very special evening is presented as a fundraiser for The Park City Performing Arts Foundation, a local non-profit organization since 1998.

The "Evening with Kristin Chenoweth" begins at 8 p.m. on Monday, December 31, 2012.

"New Year's Eve is the ideal time for a community to come together to experience the magic of live performance – in this case, a wickedly entertaining show from one of Broadway's best," says Park City Performing Arts Foundation executive director Teri Orr. "There has to be a wow-factor for New Year's and Ms. Chenoweth has just that. She's an incredible talent and we're lucky to have her in our line-up. Let the revelry begin."

The Broadway, film and television star has a knack for delivering a show that seamlessly traverses musical genres. Opera-trained, Chenoweth draws from her extensive Broadway repertoire, her latest country-tinged album (Some Lessons Learned) – and virtually any genre in between.

Best known for her starring role as Glinda the Good Witch in Broadway's Wicked, the petite Chenoweth has become a prolific star on the stage and screen. Her television roles have ranged from Glee and Pushing Daisies to The West Wing and GCB. Her onstage roles have ranged from a Tony-winning performance in You're A Good Man Charlie Brown to Promises, Promises; and her film appearances span the cinematographic spectrum, from Bewitched to Running with Scissors. As a solo performer, she sold out Carnegie Hall as well as the Metropolitan Opera House – and she's collaborated with symphonies around the country. Outside the spotlight, she's recorded four albums and written a candid, uplifting book, "A Little Bit Wicked."

Tickets start at $30, and Platinum Section tickets ($160) offer admittance to the official performance reception and after-party.  For more information or to purchase tickets, call 435-655-3114 or visit www.ecclescenter.org.
