Join Sackerson this holiday season for the regional premiere of the beloved classic The Little Prince.

Adapted for the stage by John Scoullar and Rick Cummins from the world-famous Antoine de Saint-Exupéry novella, The Little Prince follows a pilot stranded in the Sahara Desert. He meets a young prince fallen from the sky who regales him with tales of life among the stars. At the heart of these adventures lies the lesson that "One sees clearly only with the heart. What is essential is invisible to the eye."

Since its inception, Sackerson has been known for bringing unique and unexpected works to Salt Lake City, and their first foray into family-friendly shows proves to be no different. Directed by Dave Mortensen and choreographed by Graham Brown, with music by Brooke Bolick, Sackerson brings this unforgettable classic to life in charming and unexpected ways. Discussing his role as the Aviator, actor and producer Alex Ungerman says, "it's a really magical journey I get to take -- the aviator re-discovers his lost sense of childlike wonder. I think it's a journey that a lot of people in the audience are going to connect with deeply."

The Little Prince is a refreshing alternative to the traditional holiday lineup; It is sure to delight and enthrall children young and old. Amy Ware, who plays the Rose, says, "what I love about the script is that it was a story written for children, but it's truly meant for adults. It makes you remember what is beautiful and good."

The Little Prince runs November 24 through December 23. It will be the third and final production in Sackerson's 2017 mini-season housed inside the brand new Arts Factory, a multidisciplinary art space funded by the Utah Arts Alliance. Tickets are $10-17 online at www.sackerson.org, $20 at the door.
