There's trouble in River City when a fast-talking salesman gets his heart stolen by the town librarian. The Music Man is funny, warm, romantic and touching with quirky characters, charming scenes and a fabulous score replete with barbershop quartets, energetic marches and sentimental ballads. The Music Man is family entertainment at its best. Meredith Wilson’s six-time, TONY Award winning musical comedy has been entertaining audiences since 1957 and is a story to be shared with every generation.
The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band he vows to organize - this despite the fact he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain's fall.
CYT GIVES BACK – SALVATION ARMY – COAT DONATIONS
CYT is collaborating with the non profit organization the Salvation Army during this show performance . CYT will be collecting donations of adult and children’s coats/jackets during the performance date and times which will then be donated to the Salvation Army. Please bring your donation to the lobby area.

Harold Hill - The charismatic fast talking talking traveling salesman who is out to con the community of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and band uniforms for a magnificent boys band he vows to organize.
Marian Paroo - The town Librarian who tries to make Mr. Hill into a respectable person.
Marcellus Washburn -Harold's chummy old friend and former con man, he now lives in River City and is trying to settle down.
Mayor Shinn: A blustery politician who is extremely skeptical of Harold and all too "self-important."
Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn: Mayor Shinn's self-important wife.
Winthrop Paroo: Marian's baby brother, he is very shy because of a noticeable lisp.
Mrs. Paroo: Cheerful and always plotting. An Irish widow and mother to Marian and Winthrop.
Tommy Djilas: Teenage boy and town trouble-maker from the wrong side of town. He is secretly courting Zaneeta.
Zaneeta Shinn: The Mayor's teenage daughter who is in love with Tommy.
Amaryllis: 8-10 years old. Always says what’s on her mind, can be blunt, but is not intentionally unkind.
