  3. Keyboard Conversations® with Jeffrey Siegel- Keys to the Classics

American pianist Jeffrey Siegel has been a soloist with the world’s great orchestras and has collaborated with many of the pre-eminent conductors of our time. He has performed his Keyboard Conversations® at the Harris Center every year since the facility opened; the reasons for this are instantly obvious. In presenting these “concerts with lively commentary,” Mr. Siegel offers comments on the work, the composer, even the times in which the work was composed, and then gives a virtuosic performance of a piano masterpiece. A lively Q&A concludes the concert. His presentations enrich the listening experience for the avid music lover as well as provide an inviting, instantly accessible introduction to great music for those new to classical music. “An achievement of a sort seldom heard” (New York Times). Media Sponsor: Capital Public Radio.

For the 2016-2017 season, Jeffrey Siegel is bringing a three-part series of new offerings:

Keys to the Classics
Sunday, September 25, 2016 @ 1:00 pm
The humor and vitality of Haydn, the charm and lyricism of Mozart, and the stormy passion of Beethoven (Sonata Pathatique)
