Music & More Children’s Theater in collaboration with Music & More Community Theater presents the musical “Anne of Green Gables”.
Auburn, CA - Music & More Performing Arts Center is proud to present the musical “Anne of Green Gables”, book, music and lyrics by Janet Yates and Mark Friedman, in a limited run January 18th through January 26th. The family-friendly production is a collaborative project with Music & More Community Theater and features a cast of professional adult actors alongside our talented OnStage troupe of young actors ages 10 to 17.
The Victorian comedy drama has a witty script full of laughter and tears, a beautiful score, lively dancing, and lovely period sets and costumes. Our talented cast of dedicated actors have worked tirelessly researching characters in the Victorian era to bring Anne’s story to life. “We’re thrilled to share this new musical with the Auburn community,” says Michelle Coder, director of the play. “Young readers have long related to Anne’s pre-teen turmoil, mishaps and deeply held emotions. Many of our actors' parents are fans of the book. Anne is a great example for young people today because her boundless imagination helps her overcome obstacles and, on a deeper level, Anne’s innate emotional intelligence allows her to forgive others' insensitivity and learn to love herself.
Show Dates are January 18th, 19th, 25th and 26th with performances at 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online at www.musicandmore.net. Schools call (530) 305-4627 for special group rates.
