The Mendocino Theatre Company's 2018 season opens March 1st with RUMORS, a zany farce by Neil Simon, one of America's best-loved playwrights. At the helm of this production is veteran MTC director Bob Cohen, who has assembled a team of some of the coast's best comedic actors, including Pamela W. Allen, Mark Friedrich, Nicole Traber, Raven Deerwater, Ken Krauss, Terilynn Epperson, Lisa Norman, Milo Young, Matt Biggs, and Mervin Gilbert .
"I first read Neil Simon's RUMORS two years ago and laughed so hard I thought I would cry," says Cohen. "People are going to love watching this cast wend their way through the nonsense of this hilarious farce."
The action takes place in the living room of an elegant home (beautifully created for the stage by San Francisco-based set designer Jeff Rowlings) in the upscale neighborhood of Sneden's Landing, New York, where four couples have arrived, ready to celebrate their friends' tenth wedding anniversary. But ridiculously hilarious complications ensue that will have audience members laughing out loud.
RUMORS plays Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and select Sundays from March1st through April 8th at the Mendocino Theatre Company on Little Lake Street on the campus of the Mendocino Art Center in Mendocino. Tickets are available online at mendocinotheatre.org, or by phoning the box office at 707-937-4477.
