As special programming for the 2015/16 Season: BRAVE NEW WORLD, Capital Stage will present their first full length musical production, THE BEHAVIOR OF BROADUS, by the LA-based writing and performing partnership Burglars of Hamm. THE BEHAVIOR OF BROADUS was recently nominated for nine Ovation Awards and won two - for Best Book of an Original Musical, and Best Lyrics/Composition of an Original Musical - seven LA Drama Critics Circle Awards, and called "...triumphant... wickedly entertaining... feels suspiciously like a groundbreaking new musical" by the LA TIMES. This dark comedy tells the story of John Broadus Watson, father of Behaviorism and modern advertising. THE BEHAVIOR OF BROADUS will run from December 9 through January 3 with a Press Opening on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 8pm.

THE BEHAVIOR OF BROADUS tells the incredible sort-of-true story of John Broadus Watson, father of Behaviorism and modern advertising. He has the power to control your brain. Indeed, we suspect he's making you read this right now. Capital Stage will venture into the realm of musical theatre with this Mad Men-esque dark comedy that puts the origins of our pop-culture consumerist society under a satirical magnifying glass.

Burglars of Hamm is a writing and performing partnership that has been creating original comedies since 1998. There are four writer/performer partners - Carolyn Almos, Matt Almos, Jon Beauregard and Albert Dayan - as well as an acting ensemble. They have been called "The Talking Heads of LA theatre - arch, geeky, high-brow and hip" (LA Stage Magazine), "Maybe the closest thing LA has to the Pythons." (Backstage West), and "Los Angeles' goofiest social satirists" (LA Times). Other works include LATIVA: THE NOIR SERIES (2014), LAND OF THE TIGERS (2009), FOCUS TODAY (2004), PARTY SHOW (2003), EASY TARGETS (2002), PIECE OF WORK (2001), HOT CITY (2000), RESA FANTASTISKT MYSTISK (1999), and FLEE CIRCUS (1998). www.burglarsofhamm.com?
