Capital Stage presents the return of Capital Stage favorite Katie Rubin in her one-woman show, INSIDES OUT! Rubin has entertained Capital Stage audiences with her hilarious performances in THE NORTH PLAN, IN THE NEXT ROOM, and HUNTER GATHERERS, as well as with her other solo shows MY SPIRITUAL DEATH, AMAZING & SAGE and WHY I DIED: A COMEDY! She now returns to Capital Stage to take audiences on an emotionally charged and hilarious journey towards self-integration and peace of mind. INSIDES OUT!will play Saturday August 8 at 8pm & Sunday August 9 at 7pm.

INSIDES OUT! is the story of one young person's journey from her high school and college years through her introduction to the working world. Abuse of alcohol, drugs, food, and sex, mark a journey into and ultimately out of self-loathing. The performance seeks to depict the lifelong struggle for integration of the many aspects of the self, and the continued voyage towards peace of mind.
Katie Rubin began her career as a Solo Show Performer at Amherst College with her first original piece, PARTYBOOBYTRAP. Her second play, AVOIDING LESS BLUE, was produced through the 2000 New York Fringe Festival. Additionally she was commissioned by the UC Davis Department of Health to write two original plays. Ms. Rubin's recent acting credits are as follows: Tanya in THE NORTH PLAN, Mrs. Daldry, IN THE NEXT ROOM and Wendy in HUNTER GATHERERS at Capital Stage, as well as Izzy in RABBIT HOLE and The Nurse in WIT at The B Street Theater. The Sacramento Theater Company cast Ms. Rubin as Mrs. Cratchit and The Ghost of Christmas Past in A CHRISTMAS CAROL and Mayella in TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD. Additionally, Katie played Mrs. Pennywise in The Foothill Theater Company's production of URINETOWN. Katie earned her MFA in Acting from UC Davis in 2005, and her BA in Theater and Dance at Amherst College.
