California Musical Theatre announced a varied lineup of musicals for the 2014 season of Sacramento Music Circus at the Wells Fargo Pavilion, the 64th season for what has become a Northern California summer tradition. The five-show season will include the Music Circus premiere of the beloved Disney classic Mary Poppins, as well as other Tony Award-winning shows including the singular sensation A Chorus Line, Rodgers and Hammerstein's lush South Pacific, Lerner and Loewe's mystical Brigadoon, and Jerry Herman and Harvey Fierstein's hilarious La Cage Aux Folles.

Richard Lewis, California Musical Theatre President & CEO, noted that two important changes in performance times will be implemented for the 2014 season in response to overwhelming demand from patrons: In an effort to help patrons get home a little earlier from shows that can last up to three hours, all evening performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. (In previous seasons, evening performances on Thursday, Friday and Saturday began at 8:00 p.m.) A Sunday 2:00 p.m. matinee performance has also been added for all shows.

Music Circus is produced under the leadership of Artistic Director Glenn Casale and Executive Producer Scott Klier.

Season ticket holders from 2013 will receive renewal invoices in the mail by January 13, and the Wells Fargo Pavilion Box Office will begin taking paid reservations for new subscribers on that day as well. Seat locations for current subscribers will be held until the March 7 renewal deadline. Five-show season tickets range from $175 to $280, depending on performance time and seating location. Single-show ticket prices range from $35 to $65. Renewals and new subscriber reservations are available at the Wells Fargo Pavilion Box Office, 1419 H Street in Sacramento, or by phone at (916) 557-1999, beginning Monday, January 13, at 10:00 a.m. Beginning February 3, discounts will be available for groups of 12 or more by calling the Group Sales department at (916) 557-1198. Single-show tickets will go on sale May 10. For more information visit SacramentoMusicCircus.com.

"From the exhilarating emotional roller coaster of A Chorus Line through the hilarious musical comedy La Cage Aux Folles, this is a Music Circus season that guarantees a wide range of experiences," Lewis said. "We're particularly excited about our Music Circus premiere of the Disney classic Mary Poppins, a show that the whole family can enjoy. For this show we're offering a $20 discount off tickets for children ages 4 - 12."

In addition to saving up to $100 on a pair of season tickets, Music Circus season ticket holders receive a number of valuable subscriber benefits, including the ability to get the best available seating locations, the opportunity to order additional single tickets before the general public, the ability to exchange their tickets for another performance free of charge, and guaranteed renewal privileges. And season ticket holders have the peace of mind in knowing that they have tickets in advance to popular shows that will likely sell out.
