Lambda Players Host Auditions For THE CHILDREN'S HOUR

THE CHILDREN'S HOUR, Written by Lillian Hellman, Directed by David-Matthew Barnes

"The Children's Hour" is a controversial drama set in an all-girls boarding school run by two women, Karen Wright and Martha Dobie. An angry student, Mary Tilford, runs away from the school and to avoid being sent back tells her grandmother that the two headmistresses are having a lesbian affair. The accusation proceeds to destroy the women's careers, relationships and lives.

All roles are available:
12 women - all ages from 15 to 70+
1 man, late 20s/early 30s
1 man, late teens

Auditions will be held on Wednesday January 27 from 7p-9p and on Saturday January 30 from 11a-2p at the Lambda Players Theatre, located at 1127 21st Street, at the intersection of 21st and L Street. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. A resume and headshot is requested but not required.

This show will rehearse on the following Sundays from 11a-5p:
February 7, 28 and March 7
The following Sundays from 10a-2p:
February 14 and 21
And Mondays through Thursdays from 6p-10p from March 15 - April 1

Performance Dates: April 2 - April 24, Fridays and Saturdays at 8p. No matinee performances.
