CineConcerts, CBS Consumer Products and Paramount Pictures will launch Star Trek: The Ultimate Voyage, a North American concert tour playing performing arts centers in more than 100 cities. Honolulu will host the concert on October 29, 2016, with the HSO at the Blaisdell Concert Hall.
Star Trek: The Ultimate Voyage is produced by CineConcerts, known for its popular live to projection, symphonic concert experiences including The Godfather, Gladiator and Breakfast at Tiffany's. People of all ages and backgrounds will experience the franchise's groundbreaking and wildly popular musical achievements while the most iconic Star Trek film and TV footage is simultaneously beamed in high definition to a 26-foot wide screen. The concert will feature some of the greatest music written for the franchise, including music from Star Trek: The Original Series, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, Star Trek: Insurrection, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager and more. This never-before-seen concert event is perfect for music lovers, filmgoers, science fiction fans and anyone looking for an exciting and unique concert experience.
This concert will be held at the Blaisdell Concert Hall on Saturday, October 29 at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $27, $40, $53, $66, $79. All guests are highly encouraged to dress in their best Star Trek or space-themed costumes in honor of the concert and Halloween. Join the fun, it's out of this world! Star Trek: The Ultimate Voyage will be conducted by the HSO's guest conductor, Sarah Ioannides who will also conduct Halekulani Masterworks, The Planets on Sunday, October 30, a program that features Holst's The Planets and rounds up an exciting, interstellar weekend with the Symphony.

This concert officially kicks off the Season.Maestro Sarah Ioannides will conduct the program and has been named one of the top twenty female conductors worldwide by Norman Lebrecht's "Woman Conductors: The Power List" in May 2016, she was also named in the Los Angeles Times as "one of six female conductors breaking the glass podium" and noted in the New York Times as part of "a new wave of female conductors in their late 20's through early 40's" Ioannides was awarded the JoAnn Falletta award for the most promising female conductor. A protege of OttoWerner Mueller, Ioannides appeared in special engagements with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, New World Symphony and the London Symphony Orchestra working with Pierre Boulez and EsaPekka Salonen. Having served as the Music Director of the Cincinnati Symphony Youth Orchestra, Ioannides was the first woman appointed to the full-time conducting staff of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.
