OMG! Based on the 2001 film, Legally Blonde-The Musical is a journey from the sorority house to the halls of justice. Elle Woods appears to have it all, until her boyfriend dumps her to attend Harvard Law. Determined to get him back, Elle uses her ingenuity and charm to get into Harvard too, tackling stereotypes, snobbery and scandal along the way. Legally Blonde-The Musical is "a high-energy... hymn to the glories of girlishness" (New York Times).

Legally Blonde-The Musical comes to the Harris Center for five performances, beginning Friday, April 5, 2019 at 7:30 pm; Saturday, April 6 at 2 and 7:30 pm; Sunday, April 7 at 1 and 6:30 pm. Tickets are available online at www.harriscenter.net or from Harris Center Ticket Office at 916-608-6888 from 12 noon to 6 pm, Monday through Saturday, and two hours before show time. Legally Blonde-The Musical is a story of transformation, of girl power, of the realization of potential. The musical escorts the audience from the UCLA sorority house to the Harvard halls of justice with the timely coming of age story. With her Chihuahua Bruiser at her side, Elle gets into Harvard, overcomes challenges she never thought she would face and, with her newfound friends, quickly realizes her potential, setting out to prove herself to the world and make everyone a believer.

The musical moves at a breakneck pace, going for "high energy throughout...a non-stop sugar rush of a show" (New York Times). Driven by memorable songs ("Omigod You Guys") and explosive dances, the production coming to Folsom features three dynamic LED video screens plus snazzy modern scenery, costumes, lights, and sound.

Maris McCulley stars as the fashion-obsessed go-getter Elle Woods. She is joined by Woody Minshew as Emmett, James Oblak as Warner, Jill Taylor Anthony as Paulette, Christopher Carsten as Professor Callahan, and Berlande Millus as Vivienne.

Legally Blonde travels with two dogs on its 40-city tour. "Rufus" is a bulldog that has starred in multiple productions of Legally Blonde. "Bruiser" was taken in to be fostered by Rufus' mom from a shelter in Los Angeles a few weeks before the tour; he will be up for adoption once the tour ends. Reportedly, there are "a ton of applications" seeking adoption of Bruiser. www.wagspetadoption.org
