Visit the Wells Fargo Pavilion Box Office at 1419 H Street, or purchase by phone at (916) 557-1999 or through Tickets.com (online fees apply). Single tickets start at $33. Previews: $25. "A Grand Night for Singing" is presented by California Musical Theatre. See here for the complete performance schedule.

The attractive young cast of "A Grand Night for Singing" pay tribute to the timelessness of the Rodgers & Hammerstein songbook. The cast easily carries some of Rodgers and Hammerstein's more famous tunes: "Maria" (The Sound of Music), "The Surrey With the Fringe on Top" (Oklahoma!) and "Honey Bun" (South Pacific) and just as easily the not so famous ones: "Don't Marry Me" (Flower Drum Song). >visit the photo gallery

The three women in the cast are the lovely Jill Van Velzer, Lisa Ferris, and Melissa WolfKlain. Jill is very familiar with Rodgers and Hammerstein classics; she most recently played Anna Leonowens in the national tour of The King and I and also appeared as Laurey in Oklahoma!. Lisa most recently played Emma at Music Circus' production of Funny Girl last summer. She has also performed at the Utah Shakespeare Festival as Adriana in The Comedy of Errors and Olivia in Twelfth Night. Melissa, who just finished playing Cindy at the Cosmopolitan Cabaret in Suds, has returned to perform again at the Cabaret. Originally from the Bay Area, but now based in Los Angeles, Melissa has starred as Polly in Crazy for You and Millie in Thoroughly Modern Millie, both for Broadway by the Bay.

The two men in the cast are Ryan Drummond and Justin Michael Duval. Ryan's credits not only include theatre (Corny in Hairspray and Robbie in The Wedding Singer) but also voiceovers as well. He is known as the original voice of "Sonic the Hedgehog" for Sega Gaming Corporation. Justin's national tour credits include Happy Days the Musical, where he played Potsie.

"A Grand Night for Singing" is directed and choreographed by Mindy Cooper, whose Broadway credits include choreographing Dracula: the Musical and Wrong Mountain.
The season is produced under the direction of Executive Producer Richard Lewis, Artistic Director Glenn Casale and Associate Producer Marlene Shire-Anderson.
