Capital Stage's 2012 Summer Youth Theatre Program Accepts Applications

Capital Stage, a professional theatre company located in midtown Sacramento is now accepting applications for enrollment in its 2012 Summer Youth Theatre program. Designed for middle school and high school-aged students, who are continuing their theatre training or discovering a love of theatre for the first time. The 2012 Cap Stage Youth Program will be taught by local professional actors Greg Alexander and Matt K. Miller.

Classes will be held Mondays through Fridays beginning on Monday, August 6, continuing through Friday, August 17 and culminating in a dress rehearsal and performance on Saturday, August 18. Applications for enrollment are available through Capital Stage's website at www.capstage.org, by phone at 916-995-5464 or at the theatre at 2215 J Street.

This summer Capital Stage presents a rigorous two-week program in which students will work together to rehearse and perform a short play under the guidance of professional theatre artists Greg Alexander and Matt K. Miller. The classes meet Mondays through Fridays, plus one additional 5-hour Saturday rehearsal to prepare for performance. Students will perform in front of a live audience on Saturday, August 18 at 6pm at Capital Stage.
