Starring: Nancy Jane Blake, Shannan Buckley, Rena Gavigan, Gerry Hazel, Kevin Howat, Rich Hunter, Andrew Laden, Julia McCarthy, Kimmi Naus, John Palacio, and Lus Quntero. An exuberant musical celebration of America, Woody Guthrie's American Song tells the life of the folk singer through his words and music. After its debut in 1989, the musical has traveled all over America to rave reviews. The New York Times said it "manages to find both the high beauty and the earthly humor of Guthrie's love affair with America. The musical follows Guthrie as he travels from the Dust Bowl to California and east to New York City. It includes many beloved songs, including This Land is Your Land, So Long Its Been Good to Know Yuh, Pastures of Plenty, Hard Travelin, and Bound for Glory. Dr. Dashia Magee

Host/creator
Dr. Dashia Magee is an educator, writer, and clown based in Los Angeles. She started performing at the age of 4, gracing the stage as a, “Strawberry” at the local community theatre in Tacoma, Washington. She host the podcast, “Let's Get Silly”. She also co-wrote and starred in the award winning web-series, "Staying Together” all about the joys of marriage. Her one-woman clown show, “Donkey: A Cultural Biography of a Public School Teacher” has played at the Upright Citizen Brigade in Los Angeles and also the Black Woman in Comedy Festival. She also wrote, produced, and starred in a series of clown shorts entitled, "Dr. Magee: Clown Shorts". You can find her performing live (Improv, Sketch, and Clown) at various theaters in Los Angeles. Bonnie He

Bonnie He is an actor, improvisor and clown. She was in the short film The New Empress with Maggie Gyllenhaal and is on a Second City Hollywood house improv team. Her award-winning live show A Terrible Show for Terrible People won the Craziest Solo Show award at the inaugural Crazy Woke Asians Solo Performance Festival and has toured nationally in festivals such as Second City Hollywood's Diversity in Comedy Festival and The Brick's NY Clown Theatre Festival. A Terrible Show for Terrible People will be at the Hollywood Fringe Festival this June. It won the 2022 Hollywood Fringe Festival Scholarship. Bonnie He is also the resident clowning instructor at Company of Angels, the oldest non-profit professional equity waiver theater in Los Angeles.


Amanda Blake Davis

Amanda Blake Davis is an LA based writer and actor. She is an alum of The Second City in Chicago, where she won a Jeff Award for Best Actor in a Revue for Studs Terkel's Not Working. Natalie Nicole Dressel

Natalie Nicole Dressel is a transgender writer/actress currently living in North Hollywood, CA. In 2019 she attained her MFA in writing for the Stage and Screen from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA, and in 2013 she earned her BFA in Theater from Michigan State University. She is a graduate of the UCB LA improv program, and her play There is Evil in This House (that she wrote and also starred in) was a Second Rounder at AFF and a 2019 O'Neill NPC finalist. She did various voices on the English language dub of the currently available to watch Veneno and dubbed the lead on Todo Lo Otro (or Dafne and the Rest) both on HBO Max. Recently wrapped a movie on the East Coast and had a grant show of her work put on and funded by the City of West Hollywood. Leigh Wulff, who you can find doing a couple shows at the Fringe this year, is an LA based performer and creator who's been seen on stages around town for years. She's a loud laugher who loves quality time with her cat- Mrs. Garrett, Dad jokes, and writing. If you wanna catch her in action you can see her in Three Guys One Groupon- on the Mainstage at the Broadwater, and Who's Afraid of David Lynch- over at Three Clubs.

Marian Adewunmi Yesufu is a Nigerian-American Comedian. She is the founder of Black Women in Comedy Festival and Soul Sista Comedy. She is the Organizer of the Afro Civilization Fair. She’s produced Comedy Shows at UCB, The Pack Theater, and Tao Comedy Studio. She is an alumni of the CBS Diversity Showcase and Maude Writer at the Upright Citizens Brigade.
