Chill Bucket Productions pushes forward into the next chapter of theatre with Summer Quintet, a collection of short plays filmed with five intimate casts in person and streamed online July 9-11, 2021.Ready for more pandemic performances, Summer Quintet was filmed in-person, theatrical style, in a few takes and involves some of the best talent of the tri-state area who have been patiently awaiting the return of live theatre. Directed by the team of Jeff Rocco, Rob McEvily, and Dakota Martin, Summer Quintet consists of: The Game by Louise Bryant, a four-character allegory play involving the characters of Death and Life tossing dice for the lives of Youth, a male poet, and Girl, a dancer, St. Valentines Day by Annie Eliot, a love triangle between an aunt, her niece and a suitor and the impending mystery of his Valentine being sent to the home for one of them, The Ketchup Bottle Play, a play dealing with the tensions that build out of small and unassuming actions, The Incompatibles by Horace Holley, dealing with the anxieties of running into an ex-husband when both parties have moved on, and Elephants Die Standing Up by Dwayne Yancey, a comedy about two circus workers who struggle with the issue of what to do when an elephant dies.This brilliant cast of characters features the talents of Kevin Arthur, Katie Luekens Chan Chee, Kathy Files DiBiasi, Diana DiMarco, Ed Friedman, Jean Garner, Roy Harry, Michelle Moriarty, Danny Rivera, Jr., Charlotte Roth, Jacob Ruiz, Olympia Prodafikas, and Tom Weppler.
