A darker cousin to Almost, Maine, John Cariani’s newest play, LOVE/SICK is a collection of nine slightly twisted and completely hilarious short plays. Set on a Friday night in an alternate suburban reality, LOVE/SICK explores the pain and the joy that comes with being in love. Full of imperfect lovers and dreamers — from a couple of obsessive/impulsives who can’t stop kissing each other to the guy who goes hysterically deaf at the sound of the words “I love you” to the power couple who realize that they forgot to have the baby — LOVE/SICK is an unromantic comedy for the romantic in everyone.
