Chill Bucket Productions, connecting artists across the nation through its virtual theatre, tackles The Bard with An Evening of Shakespeare premiering March 28, 2021 at 8 pm EST.

Chill Bucket Productions returns to the virtual stage on March 28th for its sixth online production since re-imagining programming for online audiences last spring. After completing their third annual Valentines Cabaret, Chill Bucket's next offering promises to delight with sonnets, soliloquies and scenes performed by a talented group of actors, accessible directly at ChillBP.com and YouTube.

Shakespeare and his classic literature are no strangers to pandemic and quarantine. The Bard lived during the time of The Bubonic Plague and wrote feverishly while London theatres were on lockdown. The Globe Theatre, and others like it, were some of the first venues to be closed intermittently throughout the 16th and 17th centuries.

During this indeterminate intermission for theatres across our country and the world, Chill Bucket Productions has forged ahead with continued virtual programming involving radio plays, multimedia experiences, online readings, cabarets and our very first remote Play in a Day.

An Evening of Shakespeare honors the resilience of the theatre community and showcases talent from near and far, a silver lining of the COVID-19 pandemic. Director, Dakota Martin and producer, Jeff Rocco have cultivated a diverse selection of sonnets and monologues and even a few scenes, ranging from the best of Shakespeares comedies, tragedies and history plays. Their hope is to educate, move and enlighten audience members while also putting a much needed smile on their faces with both nostalgic and lesser-known gems from the playwrights vast repertoire.

This brilliant cast of characters features the talents of Karen Andronico, Moriel Behar, Bryan Butters, Julie Butters, Marjorie Conn, Keith Cummings, Kathy Files DiBiasi, Jaron Fuglie, Erin Herbert, Ethan Jovanovic, Bob Lane, Angelica Llanos, BJ Markus, Francis McLaughlin, Chris Nardi, Cyrus Newitt, Nellie OBrien, Ashley Robyn Patten, Olympia Prodafikas, Fran Sisco, Tom Weppler, and Patricia White. With narration by Mary Ann Penzero, Chill Bucket Productions hopes to add some context to the chosen pieces and spark discussion in addition to purely entertaining.

An Evening of Shakespeare can be viewed at www.chillbp.com and Chill Bucket Productions YouTube page starting on March 28th at 8 pm and will be accessible to audiences any time after the premiere. Since this production does not require a ticket purchase, donations are always welcome and can be made through our GoFundMe: https://gf.me/u/y8kf3sChill Bucket Productions is a theatrical group dedicated to advancing classic theatre and showcasing our history to inform our present, bringing issues and thought-provoking theatre to generations of audiences.www.chillbp.com
