Westchester Collaborative Theater Introduces Full Slate of Acting Classes

For the first time since its founding in 2010, Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT) is launching a full and diverse slate of eight-session acting classes from October 2 through December 6 in its new Black Box performance space at 23 Water Street in Ossining. Says WCT Executive Director Alan Lutwin, "We are responding to a longtime request and, in our new home, we are finally able to fulfill it by drawing on the amazing wealth of talent we have in our Company. We are glad also to be able to provide top quality instruction in small, intimate classes at affordable fees."

The classes are: Scene and Monologue Study with Bob Rogerson, an in-depth study of the craft of acting designed for the intermediate and advanced actor. Classes meet Mondays from 7:30 to 10:30 for eight weeks from October 2 through December 4 (no classes November 6 and 13). Tuition is $340/ $295 for WCT members. Acting for Camera with Matt Lagle, designed to familiarize students with on-camera work and, if desired, prepare audition reels.

Classes meet Tuesdays from 7:30 to 9:30 pm for eight weeks from October 3 through December 5 (no classes November 7 and 14). Tuition is $340/ $295 for WCT members. Improvisation for Theater and for Fun with Jim Brownold, to help experienced actors, new actors and non-actors trust their instinctive creativity through a fun and inventive avenue of expression. Classes meet Wednesdays from 7:30 to 9:30 PM from October 4 through December 6 (no classes November 8 and 15); Tuition is $195/ $160 for WCT members.

On Tuesday, September 26 from 7:30 to 8:30 pm, there will be a Q & A with the instructors at 23 Water Street. Interested students unable to attend the session will be offered alternative methods to have their inquiries answered. Class size is limited; early registration is suggested.
