Notably, the Philipstown Depot Theatre, a former train station, and the immediately surrounding area served as the filming location for the Yonkers scenes in the film, HELLO, DOLLY!, which starred Ms. Streisand.

Included in the cast of SIMPLY STREISAND are some of Broadway and NYC Cabaret's most esteemed and award-winning voices: Carole J. Bufford, Alexis Cole, Natalie Douglas, Molly Pope and Lucia Spina. The evening is hosted by Director Phil Geoffrey Bond, who will fill the audience in on special Streisand facts, rumors, tidbits, video clips and out and out gossip. Musical Direction is by Barry Levitt who will lead a trio of piano, bass & drums. SIMPLY STREISAND enjoyed a celebrated and critically acclaimed run at New York's Laurie Beechman Theatre, and went on to enjoy a run at New York's 54 Below.

The Streisand Foundation, established in 1986, has contributed over 16 million dollars through nearly 1,000 grants to "national organizations working on preservation of the environment, voter education, the protection of civil liberties and civil rights, women's issues and nuclear disarmament." In 2006, Streisand personally donated $1 million dollars to the William Jefferson Clinton Foundation in support of former President Bill Clinton's climate change initiative. In 2008, Streisand gifted $5 million dollars to endow the Barbra Streisand Women's Cardiovascular Research and Education Program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center's Women's Heart Center.
